AuthorVoices.com Audio Book Promotions

Inside Books is hosted by Emmy award-winning TV news anchor Chuck Englund, a veteran of more than 500 author radio interviews. It is produced and directed by Georgia Jones, an internet audio pioneer and operator of her own successful Internet audio site Ladybuglive.com.

  • You let us know of your desire to talk about your book choosing either our concise 5 minute interview, or the 8-10 minute interview for more expanded promotion (see the Getting Started page). You send a description of your book, your condensed biography, a review copy of the book if possible, and any other pertinent information about yourself and your book to us prior to your actual recording date.
  • We review the materials you sent, and schedule a recording time for you. We call you at the agreed-upon time at your home or office. After checking for recording levels and a brief orientation and get-acquainted time, we begin the interview and talk straight through with no breaks, just as though it were live. (In case of a major interruption, we can start over again, thanks to it being recorded).
  • At the beginning and again at the end Chuck Englund will direct your listeners to the link or telephone number where they can purchase your book. Between that information you will have the opportunity to create interest in your potential readers by telling them what to expect from your book and information about yourself. Voice can achieve this in a more intimate and effective way than mere words on a web page.
  • Within a few days, your interview will be processed, digitized and encoded in the RealAudio format. RealAudio is the most popular format for internet audio, with more than 100 million players in use worldwide.

We provide you with the link to the RealAudio interview, which we host on our fast and reliable servers. You provide this link to your webmaster to add to your own website. Your webmaster puts an icon on your site so visitors can click and hear you describe your book. This adds the human touch of your own voice to your presence on the web.

Other promotion possibilities include e-mailing the link to publishers, incorporating it in your own newsletters, sending it to industry professionals and the media. There are countless more ways to use your interview.

Finally, we constantly promote authors through Georgia Jones’ many connections in the book promotion business. Our goal is to get your voice heard by a waiting world-wide audience.
