Where are you from originally and where do you reside now?

I am originally from Woodmere, NY. I now live in Delray Beach, FL

If you currently reside somewhere besides where you were born, what’s the story that lead from there to here?

After college, I moved to NYC and lived there for 22 years. I met my wife, got married, and had a son. We needed more room so we moved right across the river to Jersey City, NJ. After that, we moved to Roslyn, NY. When my wife sold her business, we decided to move to Florida.

What made you decide to write and publish your first book?

I had been single for many years and had many funny experiences. Each date and each relationship was a lesson learned. I combined many of them into a humorous book about dating and relationships.

How would you describe your books to first time readers?

It is a very funny look at dating and relationships. The Do’s and Dont’s. The Ups and Downs. And the funny things that go along with being single.

Who do you feel is most likely to connect with the topics you write about?

Mostly single guys who can learn a lot of things. However, single girls will also learn some things about the way guys think.

What unexpected or surprising thing did you learn during the process of writing and publishing?

It takes a long time to write and rewrite a manuscript. Then you have to find a publisher that believes in the story. Then, of course, you have to market and sell it.

If you could, what advice would you give to past self yourself before embarking on this journey?

Incorporate more full stories.

How many people would you ideally like to reach with your books?

Thousands. The reviews have been excellent.

What has been the biggest challenge and frustration during the process to date?

The biggest hurdle has been finding the time to market the book. When it first came out, it his Amazon Top 100 for a few days. I appeared on several TV show talking about the book, both in NY and FL.

What’s your biggest strengths when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

I feel that I am very good at observation and telling a story. I learn from past experiences and try to pass on my knowledge to the reader.

What’s your biggest weakness when it comes to book a) writing, b) publishing and c) marketing?

I am a little direct and to the point. I might be better off telling a longer story.

When do you think you will you write your next book?

I have a couple of other manuscripts already written looking for the proper vehicle. Both are better geared toward movies.

Are you self published or did you use a hybrid publisher, or a traditional publisher?

I decided to self-publish because I had more control over the content.
